1. Being one of the prime candidates / suspects for the Great Tuck Cupboard Raid however that time I seem to recall that I was really innocent!
2. Bully Norman Forearm Smash being far harder to dodge than the Cunny-Blip (and hurting far more).
3. Ear tweaking from any master.
4. Missing most of the Longest Day film due to piano lessons which I didn't enjoy either!
5. Falling in love with Catherine Mackie but denying it at every opportunity sorry Catherine! I remember walking the dog as well but dont remember its name.
6. Being a day-bug for a couple of years before becoming a full boarder.
7. Being dropped off at Lowmans Green in Tivvy by Dad (coming from Willand) in the morning to catch the school bus.
8. Missing the school bus at Lowmans Green and racing to catch it before it got too far beyond Heathcoates factory.
9. Driving all the way to school with Dad because the bus was being driven too fast!
10. Traffic Light lollipops on the school bus and spending the tuppence or sixpence given to me by Mum for emergency phone calls!
11. Being involved in dorm raids,
12. Being caned by Mr Whittaker for being caught in dormraids. Taking the route past the Lights room or risking passing Mr Cunninghams room were always doomed to failure!
13. Slipper fights,
14. Being caned for being caught in slipper fights!
15. Mud-on-stick fights between groups in the woods,
16. Being caned for being caught having mud fights!
17. Elastic Bands and paper projectiles in class
18. Yes, you guessed it being caned for being caught! (I am now a military Policeman!)
19. Stating one night prior to being caned by Mr Whittaker please don't hit me too hard, I only have a small bottom. At least that is what he told my parents I said.
20. The dreaded split cane and did it ever exist.
21. Major Gardners stories and being able to throw in the red-herring such as is that how you did it in the Sudan sir?
22. Being allowed a radio on weekends.
23. Midnight feasts that were in reality quite revolting! (And getting caught!)
24. Lights out conversations with masters Mr Cunningham and metal collecting.
25. Rigging the light switches to turn off whilst the masters were talking to us in the dorms.
26. Bath nights and hair wash nights always seemed to be far apart or was that just me?
27. Sheet changes Top the bottom and Clean to the top!
28. The bumps on someone's birthday but always supervised by a matron (weren't they great?) and still trying to get them to lick or touch the ceiling on the last bump. Thankfully we didn't know or care about health and safety!
29. And much, much more but perhaps for another time.
